Hey there fellow web traveler! If you haven’t guessed it, I’m Mike Kivikoski — a Visual Designer and UI Developer residing just north of Boston. I design and build beautiful kick ass web stuff. Said web stuff consists of sites, applications, prototypes, plugins, frameworks and almost anything else you can find on the Internet.

I have a real passion for clean, simple design with correct usage of Typography and a Grid. I write lean, mean and clean markup and my CSS skills are crazy sharp. If you need help with your project get in touch, I can help in the design and/or development roles. (Non-profits, this includes you too.)

I run a small design + development boutique called Atedrake with the red headed Kyle Fiedler. We’re a small team and we like it that way. We like hearing the feedback straight from out clients, not reading it off a 2 week old sheet of paper. We work with small to medium size businesses and also team up with other design firms to create the correct product for their clients. Are you currently available for teaching opportunities?

Yes I am. Please contact me if you have a teaching opportunity. I'm looking to teach at the college level, ideally a class of UI Development to Designers, but am open to other audience levels. Think of it as an introduction to web development for graphic artists so they can enhance their skills as web designers. I am available to come to your office and train your team in CSS if that is what you need.

We have this project, but it has to be built in 15 different languages, can you help?

You bet I can help! I have experience building apps in 65 languages so we can work together to create your project today.

This site looks broken in my browser, why? Aren’t you a Web designer & developer?

Yes I am. Chances are if my site is appearing broken for you, it is because you’re using Internet Explorer (IE). This site is meant to be an evolving, rapid prototype in a public space and I just don’t have the time to fix it for IE. Older versions of IE are also security risks to your computer and lack the ability to do some really awesome web stuff.

It could also be you’ve found a gnarly bug on my site. If it is something very serious please email me as fast as possible. If it is a smaller bug, please be patience while I update my site — if you see it for over 30 days please let me know about it.
